WICKED
Last week I went to see Wicked at Apollo Theatre, Victoria. It was amazing! I can safely say it was one of the best theatre productions I have seen.
The story centres on the lives of the witches from the film Wizard of Oz, before the film is set. The plot is very clever and the script is very witty. The show ends at the end of the Wizard of Oz story but with a twist.
The show left me singing and searching online for the main song, ‘Defying Gravity’, when I got home to hear it again. And what also made the evening better, was that the Theatre was comfortable and not too full.
The next show, which I am looking forward to, is Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Wizard of Oz. It is due to open at the London Palladium in March 2011, with previews taking place in February. Very exciting!
